Several new additions to the California raffle means that we now have 20 rugby teams involved in this fantastic cause! The teams are: Back Bay Youth Rugby, the Oakland Warthogs, OMBAC, LA Rugby Club, Occidental Men’s & Women’s RFC, Ventura RFC, Belmont Shore Women, Santa Clara Men, De La Salle HS Rugby, Santa Rosa RFC, UCSB Women, the Santa Barbara Academy, Cal State Fullerton Women, San Luis Obispo, Stanford Rugby, Silicon Valley Rugby, South Valley Rugby, UC Berkeley Women and Chico State Rugby.
The California raffle will take place from January 1st to June 15th 2012, with the drawing held on July 7th. The amazing prizes include: Grand Prize – a trip for two to the Caribbean, First Prize – three Sony PlayStation winners, Second Prize – a Rugby Athletic gift bag. The Texas raffle will take place from January 1st to July 10th 2012, with the drawing held on July 28th. This is a completely separate raffle, with the prizes the same as the California one.
This fundraiser sees tickets sold for $10 each with 50% donated to the various rugby teams involved, and 50% to Tackling Cancer, who will after expenses contribute the remaining balance to the Vanguard Cancer Foundation (CA).
